Christmas in the Creative Quarter

Friday 21 November

5.30pm @ The top of The Old High Street

What better way to get in the festive mood with an evening of Christmas lights, carols and mince pies? Fortunately the Creative Quarter have organised just that.  Plus more.

On Friday 21, the air will be filled with the smell of roasting chestnuts and mulled wine to take you through the evening which starts at 5.30pm at the top of the Old High Street.

Head down and check out the many independent shops, galleries, and studios that will all be staying open until 7pm, plus the bottom of Tontine Street will be transformed into a Christmas market.

There will also be live craft demonstrations such as hand carving wooden spoons and blacksmithing.

To end the evening, head up Tontine Street and into the Quarterhouse to see Austentatious with the Folkestone Book Festival.

The hour-long comedy play is spun in the style of Jane Austen but based entirely on audience suggestions.

The Quarterhouse bar will also be open and if you have any room left, you can still get some mulled wine and mince pies.
