Folkestone Multi Cultural Festival

Starting in 2006, there have been hundreds of entertainers at the annual festival from countries around the world, including New Zealand, Afghanistan, Russia, Germany and many more.

The three day event is back for it's annual return in the Town Centre this June and this year there will be a new addition - a train.

During the festival the Land Train will link to other parts of town including the Bandstand on The Leas where this year will have a new fancy dress and fairytale event to add to the entertainment.

Starting with a Spanish Day on Friday the day will include a Ceramic Workshop for kids, a Flamenco Show, a Paella Show, a performance and traditional Spanish games.

The whole festival is based on Sandgate Road Precinct outside Debenhams and will be on throughout the day, all weekend.

On Saturday expect Japanese Fisherman's dancing, other dances from around the world, the Apache Showband plus adults and children from Shepway voices and on Sunday there will be even more entertainment with an Irish Duo Nick & Phil and the Phase 5 Steel Band.  This year there will also be a taste of Brazil with the Lambada and the Festival finishes on late Sunday afternoon with the Tight Rope Walker Lindsay Kwabana.

A great weekend of fun for all the family to see entertainment from around the world and a chance for the kids to take part in some world activities.
