Jay Rayner @ Quarterhouse
Bringing all his dining tragedies to Folkestone, a widely recognised food and restaurant critic will be at Quarterhouse with his show; ‘My Dining Hell’.
Jay Rayner is an award-winning writer, journalist and broadcaster, recognisable as the resident food expert on The One Show, a judge on Masterchef and chair of BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Kitchen Cabinet’. What you may not know though is that Jay was also a sex columnist for Cosmopolitan and is a sometime jazz pianist, although not at the same time.

As a restaurant critic for the Observer for over 15 years, Jay has built up a large portfolio of bad ideas. From waiting staff who don’t write down orders to chips served in flat caps, he may well have seen it all.
Ahead of his visit to Folkestone, we spoke to Jay to find out how people get it wrong and why it’s not just about the food.
‘My Dining Hell’ will be in Folkestone on Friday February 5 where Jay will also be signing copies of his book. You can find out more about Jay Rayner at www.jayrayner.co.uk
