Summer Cider Festival @ The Chambers

Is cider your taste? Or do you just love a chilled summer drink listening to great bands? Well if you love either, or even both, head down to ‘The Chambers Summer Cider Weekend' this Bank Holiday.

The bar/café is holding their very own ‘Cider Festival,’ with a range of different local ciders and live music.

Owner Chris Smith explains what to expect: “The whole idea for us is that we support Kentish products. This is our second Cider festival with a range of Kentish Ciders and Perry’s, which include lots of fruit flavoured Ciders. We have also got a couple of different bands playing live for us as well.”

The Chambers will also hosts a variety of music throughout the festival weekend.  On the opening night San Diego band, ‘The Black Market Three’ make a return appearance with their blues and rock.

‘Gentleman Of Few’ will also be performing on the bank holiday Monday: “They played here a few months ago, everyone was blown away, we had a storm, so the fact they are coming to play is just enormous for us, we are very very happy”

 Owner Chris Smith

Chris said that he and his team wanted to create a “Smiling” atmosphere: “We always believe that we care for all of our customers here at ‘The Chambers’ and this festival is no different.

"The festival/weekend is on from Thursday 21st until bank holiday Monday 25th and we are open every night and day except from the Sunday day time, as there is other large events going on throughout town.

“If the weather is good which we hope it will be, I’m sure there will be a lot of people down at the Sandgate Sea Festival, but hopefully we can encourage a few of them to come up to us on the Sunday evening.”
