Armed Forces Day 2015
This year as part of Armed Forces Day and joining the Cadet Forces, Army Units and many local young people, The Princess of Wales' Royal Regiment Parachute Team - The Tigers will be in Folkestone as the community celebrates and honours their Armed Forces.
Organised by Folkestone Town Council the day is free and includes performances by The Harvey Big Band, Shorncliffe Military Wives Choir, Shepway Primary Singers, Folkestone School for Girls Band, the Air Cadets Band and the combined bands of Folkestone & Hythe and New Romney Sea Cadets.
Along with a day full of music, the Kent Army Cadets will also be performing a field craft demonstration and there will be numerous stalls where you can find out more about what services are available after someone leaves the Armed Forces.
There will also be a lowering of the flags and a prayer for all our heroes.
